...if the thought of paying for any of these services is, to say the least, unappealing to you. I don't even love the idea of it myself, personally, but please ultimately know that any profit goes directly toward the continued growth of the indie rock community.
Transparency has been a major focus for Mic1park since the very beginning.
This is an independent platform funded solely by founder Kevin Vargo (myself) with no outside sponsors or partnerships. Currently, there is an estimated 200+ hours of manpower put into Mic1park each month while direct costs include, but are not limited to website maintenance, various account memberships (Spotify, Canva, Linktree, etc.), social media giveaways, and tickets/travel to shows.
Mic1park works with all markets within the United States and Canada, resulting in a list of nearly 5,000 bands.
Services available here are first-come, first-serve, and offered only as availability allows.
Bands/artists are chosen at the sole discretion of Mic1park, with time/availability serving as the primary factor in decision-making.
If your release or project fits the Mic1park scope, you will receive confirmation via your preferred contact method regarding steps to move forward.
Simply put, this is not designed to make the rich, richer, and the poor, poorer.

All this is, is an attempt to work together and experience mutual growth with like-minded musicians who are looking for the specific needs as mentioned in each of the available services.
Regarding reviews: From the beginning, Mic1park has made clear that no reviews for indie rock bands via mic1park.com will, in no way, be negative. Each, however, will work to highlight the strengths, unique features, and qualities for that specific release, while also serving as a reference point for links and additional key information about the topic.
For reviews to be published the day of release (or prior), please reach out 4-6 weeks ahead.
